I was profoundly influenced by singing melodies in Friday and Saturday services. I still have fond memories of singing as I sat in congregation during Hebrew school. I often think of the melodies we sang and of the friends I sat near. I often think of how they are now as I have fallen out of touch with many of them as I aged.
Sometimes when I sing at a shabbot service with other people, I still have the same sensations I did when I was a child.
