Love these guys. It’s the EU crew thinking twice about Googies image generation of ciudads the world over. Just like a few in the USA got concerned about privacy concerns on Googs doin a 360 street view, the EU is a bit concerned too. Not surprising, but will they stop or block Googs from oing it and with such legislation would it be harder for the EU to chastize China? ouch,. I especially love this quote which makes it sound serious:
“Google Maps and a related computer-based service called Google Earth have drawn criticism from a variety of countries for providing images of sensitive locations, such as military bases or potential targets of terror attacks.”
It is serious, no doubt, not to make light of it, but this is part of the future of how the global community interacts, what is defined as a right and in turn a possiblity is to be discussed and yet discussed again –
The FBI is sayin China could hack the US networks with unbranded cisco routers? But what I can’t understand is why the US gov is outsourcing it’s tech needs in the first place. The government should be producing tech and making state of the art. Have the best technology experts making the best for the gov, all the government sectors, not just secret divisions. This is part of the fundamental gap in ground up structure and knowledge base of the Existing US tech sector specifically in the government. Update the systems, make it better, draw in the experts and let the private sector do private sector tech and secret government tech and government infrastructure be developed and supremely awesome!. Make some great stuff US gov, don’t outsource the tech to china. Dang go do some push ups, a few crunches and get to work in the lab. Make USA tech the global leader. Make the government infrastructure like no other and stop out sourcing!
