Fractured Thoughts from Buckyben

It’s something like 12 tonnes of corn for 1 tank of gas of corn biofuel, which is enough to feed one person for a year. And this year the US gov has over 30 percent of this years corn crop going to biofuel. Thats alot of hungry people that could be feed. Alot of corn that could be stock piled in case the unusually long 17 year consistent crop of US corn gets smacked. But, let’s use a flawed technique to fill our cars instead. Thanks.

Josette Sheeran, director of the UN World Food Programme, said last month: “We are seeing a new face of hunger. We are seeing more urban hunger than ever before. We are seeing food on the shelves but people being unable to afford it.”
